Who We Are

Our mission is to benefit children globally through sports

Coach Davis and his wife of 50 years, Carol, hailed from the beautiful Hudson Valley, NY beginning in 1974. Coach’s career as Varsity Coach of both Men’s Basketball and Baseball at FDR High School and then Head Coach of the Mount Saint Mary Blue Knights garnered him innumerable Coach of the Year accolades, awards and distinctions over 40 years. He was very active in enhancing the game for the better as well, such as, creating a Coaches Association to share knowledge and provide mentorship among peers. Coach would have said every championship the players earned was their victory and every defeat was all on him. Despite all of the athletic accomplishments of his teams and individual players, he was proudest of the people his players have become. He and his wife bragged as if the players were their own children about their milestones, large and small. Many players went onto successful athletic careers at both the college and professional level (including World Series rings) and many others went onto to be titans of their industries, leaders in their communities and most importantly, gentleman, as Coach always was himself.

“There is no “I” in team.”

“Don’t be late.”

Coach's Connection

Haitian Sports Foundation

Coach could never have foreseen his influence would have bounced across the ocean but would revel in the fact that a sport he loved has become “Friday Night Lights” for young men and woman to have that discipline in their lives.

Brotherhood/Sister Sol

Coach spent many of hours of his day working with children from diverse backgrounds and provided adult mentorship and guidance in a variety of ways on and off the court/field. The family home, located across the street from the high school, was a hub of after school snacks, laying on the floor watching Days of Our Lives with Carol and served as a space to spend time before practice started. This is the mission of Brotherhood/Sister Sol.

All Rise Foundation

Coach was a RABID Yankee fan. He always had his baseball teams wear pinstripes in tribute to his beloved MLB team and he wore number 10 in memoriam to his favorite player, Phil “Scooter” Rizzuto. He would say Aaron Judge “gets being a Yankee.” Aaron’s platform comes with much responsibility and he is wielding it with grace, dignity and kindness.
